01 / Plain language
MeshCore is an open-source, off-grid communications system built around LoRa radio. Companion devices, repeaters and applications can exchange short messages across a decentralised network without relying on cellular or Wi-Fi infrastructure.
It is not a broadband network, a replacement for emergency services, or a route for cameras and large datasets. Its strength is small, deliberate packets: messages, position, acknowledgements and selected telemetry.

MeshCore supplements Ethernet, Wi-Fi and SMS rather than pretending one medium solves every problem.
